FBG analyzers

This FBG signal receiver is based on a scanning filter and is delivered with 1–7 optical channels. The unit can interrogate up to 256 Bragg gratings (FBGs) depending on the application. The sampling rate is user selectable up to 1 kHz. The unit is designed for use with a controlling PC, and comes with parallel port interface and driver software. The strain resolution is better than 1μe, and the wavelength range is typically 1528–1563nm. One or more channels can be configured to receive Pulse-Width Modulated accelerometer signals.

The FBGA is ideally suited for comprehensive sensor systems and was developed for hull monitoring applications. The unit is available in a 19" rack cabinet in versions with 3 or 7 independent channels.
